Bachelor Of Hotel Management (BHTM)
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
This
program enables students to expand their knowledge, problem-solving and
conceptual skills to advanced levels in areas of study in which the Faculty has
expertise. In addition it provides training and experience in planning,
organizing and carrying out research directed towards a definite goal. The
program reflects the Faculty's approach to business; enables the theoretical
debates and problems inherent in disciplinary and interdisciplinary studies of
business to be explored at an advanced level, and develop an appreciation of the
environment - with its social, political, economic and ethical implications - in
which business decision-making occurs.
IOU requirement for the award
of BHTM is 144 credit hours. Student entering into the program with an associate
degree/diploma or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline would receive
an advanced standing of 30 credit hours.
PROGRAM DELIVERY, DURATION & REQUIREMENTS:
Program Duration: 2 - 3 years Bachelor Programs are offered through Distance Learning and seminar support basis. Students can enroll for these programs from anywhere.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree or equivalent or completion of a minimum of 60 semester credit hours at undergraduate level. A minimum of two years of occupational experience in a field related to the degree or area of specialization. For residents of countries other than the US, the applicant should in general have educational qualification comparable to those stated for US residents. Applicants with no qualification but having life time experience will be accepts
