Bachelor Of Science in Information Technology (BSIT)  

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The rapid spread of computers and computer-based technology over the past two decades has generated a need for skilled, highly trained workers proficient in the design and development of hardware and software systems. This professional group is widely referred to as Computer Scientist or Information Systems Analysts. Many organizations employ them as Manager of Information Systems or CIS Manager. Computer specialists are members of the fastest growing and most diverse profession. The Information Technology program is designed to meet the increasing demand for technology expertise in consulting, customer relations, marketing, sales, information science and general management. GOU requirement for the award of BSIT is 120 credit hours. Student entering into the program with an associate degree/diploma or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline would receive an advanced standing of 30 credit hours.
 

PROGRAM DELIVERY, DURATION & REQUIREMENTS:

Program Duration: 2 - 3 years Bachelor Programs are offered through Distance Learning and seminar support basis. Students can enroll for these programs from anywhere.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Associate degree or equivalent or completion of a minimum of 60 semester credit hours at undergraduate level. A minimum of two years of occupational experience in a field related to the degree or area of specialization. For residents of countries other than the US, the applicant should in general have educational qualification comparable to those stated for US residents. Applicants with no qualification but having life time experience will be accepts
